150 Families Receive the Keys to Their New Homes
Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley delivered the feature address at a housing distribution ceremony held at Mahogany Court, Mt Hope today (Wednesday 12th February 2020).
A total of 150 homes were distributed to new homeowners by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Seventy (70) units were distributed at Mahogany Court, Mt Hope while eighty (80) were distributed at locations which include Cashew Gardens, Carlsen Field, Eden Gardens, Freeport, Riverside North and South, Corinth, Nepuyo Court, Malabar, Cypress Hills, San Fernando, Ridgeview Heights, Bon Air North and Trestrail Lands, D’abadie.
The Mahogany Court Housing Project is the Government’s first Public-Private Partnership Housing Project. This model allows for the private sector to finance and construct houses in accordance with agreed designs using State lands.
