Prime Minister Rowley Receives Courtesy Call from Shell Chairman
Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley received a courtesy call from Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell, Charles O. Holliday today (Tuesday 04 September, 2018) at the Diplomatic Centre, St. Anns.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, the Honourable Franklin Khan and Minister of National Security, Minister of Communications and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Stuart Young were also at the meeting.
Members of the Shell team who accompanied Mr. Holliday to today’s meeting included: Mr. Maarten Wetselaar, Integrated Gas and New Energies Director, Mr. De La Rey Venter, Executive Vice President, Integrated Gas Ventures, Mr. Derek Hudson, Vice President and Country Chairman, Trinidad Tobago and Mr. Anders Ekval, Business Opportunity Manager, Atlantic LNG.
At the meeting both parties expressed confidence that the empowered negotiating teams were working assiduously to conclude negotiations. Shell also reiterated its commitment to Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Holliday, who is visiting this country for the first time, will host a luncheon for key leaders of the energy sector tomorrow. Prime Minister Rowley will deliver the feature address at the event.
