Sod Turning Ceremony For The Gran Chemin Fishing Facility
The community of Moruga will be home to a brand-new fishing facility as Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley turned the sod for the Gran Chemin Fishing Facility today (Monday 27th July, 2020).
This fishing facility which is expected to increase opportunity for the retail fishing business, will be equipped with a number of services including cooling systems for cold storage and ice makers, ventilation for boat and engine repair facilities and a package wastewater treatment plant.
Dr Rowley was joined at the event by Minister of Works and Transport, Senator the Hon Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Trade and Industry, Senator the Hon Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Senator the Hon Clarence Rambharat, Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Senator the Hon Kazim Hosein and Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Dr the Hon Lovell Francis.
