The Officially Opening of the Morvant Community Swimming Pool
The constituency of Morvant is now home to this country’s latest swimming facility, as Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley officially opened the Morvant Community Swimming Pool located at Cedarwood Street Morvant today (Thursday 16th December, 2021).
The pool is intended to accommodate recreational and competitive swimming events. It is 15-meters x 25-meters with six lanes.
Completed in nine months, this facility is outfitted with an administrative building with change rooms, washrooms, a concession area and parking. It can also seat 60 spectators.
The Prime Minister was joined at the event by the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds, Minister of Sport and Community Development, the Hon. Shamfa Cudjoe, and Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Member of Parliament for Laventille East/ Morvant, the Hon. Adrian Leonce.
