National Day of Remembrance 2022

President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Her Excellency, Paula Mae Weekes, Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley, Minister of National Security, the Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds and the Hon. Chief Justice Ivor Archie participated in the National Day of Remembrance Ceremony 2022 at the National Memorial Park, Port of Spain today (Sunday 13th November, 2022).

The wreath-laying occasion at the Cenotaph is held to honour members of the armed forces who served and fell during combat in World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945).

The Memorial Day parade which comprises members of the Defence and Protective Services as well as Civil Society Organisations returned to the streets of Port of Spain for the first time since the pandemic.

Also in attendance were Ministers of Government, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Heads of Defence and Protective Services; Senior Public Officials, representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Legion of Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League; and other dignitaries who laid wreaths at the Cenotaph.
