Prime Minister Rowley tours Trinidad Offshore Fabricators Unlimited (TOFCO)
Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith visited the Trinidad Offshore Fabricators Unlimited’s (TOFCO) fabrication yard in La Brea today (Wednesday 20th March, 2024) for an update on the progress of construction of the Mento Platform.
The Mento Platform will be located in the acreage off Trinidad’s southeast coast. This gas development is a 50/50 joint venture between EOG Resources Trinidad (EOG) and Bp Trinidad and Tobago. First gas from the project is expected in 2025.
Prime Minister Rowley was joined on the tour by Executive Vice President, bp, Gas and Low Carbon Energy, Ms Anja-Isabel Dotzenrath, Managing Director of EOG Resources, Mr George Vieira, President of bp Trinidad and Tobago, David Campbell and General Manager, TOFCO Mr Javed Mohammed.
Minister of Labour and Member of Parliament for La Brea, the Hon. Stephen Mc Clashie was also present for the visit.
