Certificate of Comfort Distribution – Enterprise, Chaguanas
Residents of Enterprise, Chaguanas are one step closer to securing tenure on lands which they occupy after Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley distributed Certificates of Comfort today (Friday 10 July, 2020).
A Certificate of Comfort is a document which gives a squatter a personal right to protection from ejectment from State land. It is the first step in a process which can result in the acquisition of a Deed of Lease.
Prime Minister Rowley was joined at today’s event by Senator the Hon Clarence Rambharat, Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Hon Major General (Ret’d) Edmund Dillon, Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
