Prime Minister Appoints Investigator into Procurement of Vessels for the Seabridge

Today, Tuesday August 15th 2017, Prime Minister Dr the Honouorable Keith Rowley on behalf of the Cabinet of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago appointed a sole investigator into the “circumstances surrounding the procurement of the Cabo Star and the Ocean Flower 2 and the entering into the charter party agreement for these vessels”.

The sole investigator is Mr Christian Mouttet who will be provided with support from the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs.

It is expected that the report will be delivered within 30 days.

Brief on Christian Mouttet 

The following is a brief description of Mr. Christian Mouttet who was today appointed as the sole investigator into the procurement of two vessels to service the sea-bridge.

Mr. Mouttet is a seasoned and successful businessman with in excess of two decades of high level experience in the business world. He is the current chairman and CEO of Victor E. Mouttet Limited.

He is also currently Chairman of Prestige Holdings Limited and Agostini’s Limited. He has served the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce over the years as president, vice president and director.

Mr. Mouttet has also served as either chairman or director of various boards including the Chaguaramas Development Authority, the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and Republic Bank Limited.

He is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double Major in Business Administration and Political Science from Wagner College, New York.
