Prime Minister Requests Meeting with Opposition Leader
Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley has written to the Leader of the Opposition the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar today (Monday July 8th 2017), requesting a private meeting for preliminary discussion on selected matters of national interest.
The matters selected are, in the view of Prime Minister Rowley, areas in which the Opposition should be engaged.
It is proposed that the meeting take place between July 12th and July 19th 2017 in a suitable room at the national Parliament. The request is being made against the backdrop that Parliament is currently in recess.
