Prime Minister’s Media Conference – Saturday 03rd July, 2021.
All construction and the associated businesses that supply and support the construction sector can reopen from Monday 5th July, 2021. This was announced by Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley at a media conference, held at the Diplomatic Centre today (Saturday 03rd July, 2021).
Dr Rowley also announced the following:
– Laundromats will be allowed to reopen on Monday 5th July, 2021.
– Once all goes planned regarding vaccinations and low numbers, school is expected to reopen in September.
– CARICOM can expect to receive approximately 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the Africa Medical Supplies Platform by mid-July. Of that 800,000, Trinidad and Tobago is expected to receive just under 200,000.
– Final shipment of COVAX vaccines has been delayed until August.
